DHAKA, Aug 27, 2026 (BSS) - Five more children have died from measles like symptoms while 956 suspected measles cases and 75 confirmed measles cases were reported in the country over the 24-hour period.

Since March 15, the total number of deaths among suspected measles cases has reached 856 while 99 deaths have been confirmed as measles-related, according to data from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

A total of 134,437 suspected measles patients have been admitted to hospitals during the period. Of these suspected cases, 129,489 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospitals so far.
