DHAKA, Aug 27, 2026 (BSS) – A total of 868 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals in different parts of the country but none died of dengue in the last 24 hours, according to a regular report of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Among the dengue patients admitted to hospitals in the past 24 hours, 316 were in Dhaka Division, 38 in Mymensingh Division, 109 in Chattogram Division, 205 in Khulna Division, 17 in Rangpur Division, 73 in Rajshahi Division and 110 in Barishal Division.

A total of 32,248 dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals across the country so far this year while 88 people have died of dengue and 30,077 dengue patients have recovered after receiving treatment at hospitals and have been discharged during the period. 

Currently, 2,083 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals.

A total of 102,861 dengue cases were reported and 413 people died from the disease last year.
