RUET launches automated journal submission, review and DOI system to modernize research publication and management. Photo : BSS

 RAJSHAHI, Aug 23, 2026 (BSS)- Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) has entered a new era in research paper and journal management.
 
Maintaining international standards, RUET has introduced an automated journal submission-review process and Digital Object Identifier (DOI) numbering system to make its own research journal publication process more modern and of international standard under its own management.
 
This afternoon, Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr. SM Abdur Razzak formally inaugurated the related website in the VC's conference room. Pro VC Prof Dr. Md. Akhtar Hossain was present as a special guest at the event.
 
At the inaugural ceremony, Director of the Research and Extension Office, Prof Dr. Abdul Khalek, briefed the VC, Pro VC and concerned teachers in detail about the use and scope of the two websites-- jeas.ruet.ac.bd (www.jeas.ruet.ac.bd) and submit.jeas.ruet.ac.bd (www.submit.jeas.ruet.ac.bd).
 
This fully automated website has been developed by RUET using its own manpower.

Under the chairmanship of Prof Dr. Abdul Khalek, Director of the Research and Extension Office and with the cooperation of Prof Dr. Md. Samiul Habib, director of the ICT Cell, this website was developed by Assistant Programmer Monirul Islam.
 
Through this website, without any manual process, a researcher or student from anywhere in the world can digitally submit and review all types of papers of his or her research paper or journal online through complete automation, as well as obtain a Digital Object Identifier number.
 
DOI numbers could not be applied to journals submitted to RUET up to Volume-9. However, the application of this number has started from Volume-10.
