RAJSHAHI, Aug 10, 2026 (BSS) - The results of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination 2026 have been published.

This year, the pass rate in the Rajshahi Education Board stood at 63.67 percent. Although a total of 178952 examinees filled out forms, 176044 appeared in the examination. Among them, 112086 have passed.

There has been a major decline in the results of this year's SSC examination under the Rajshahi Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
 
This year, the pass rate is 63.67 percent, which is the lowest in the last 7 years. Last year, the pass rate was 77.66 percent. That is, the pass rate has decreased by 13.99 percent over the past year.
 
According to the seven-year comparative statistics published by the Rajshahi Education Board on Monday, this year, 178,952 examinees were registered to appear for the examination.

Among them, 176,044 appeared for the examination. 2,908 were absent. Of the examinees who appeared, about 112,000 students passed.
     
Earlier, the pass rate in this board was 77.66 percent in 2025. In 2024 it was 89.26 percent, in 2023 it was 87.89 percent, in 2022 it was 85.88 percent, in 2021 it was 94.91 percent and in 2020 it was 90.79 percent of students passed.

As a result, compared to the last seven years, the fewest students have passed this time.
 
In terms of results, female students are ahead of male students. This time the pass rate of female students is 70.73 percent. In contrast, the pass rate of male students is 57.33 percent. That is, in terms of pass rate, female students are ahead of male students.
 
Female students are also ahead in terms of getting GPA-5. This year, a total of 16,113 students got GPA-5 in Rajshahi Board. Of them, 8,991 are female students and 7,122 are male students.

A major change has also been seen in school-based results. This year, 100 percent of students from only 35 schools under the Rajshahi Education Board passed.

Whereas in 2025, the number of schools with 100 percent pass was 99. In 2024, 289, in 2023, 178, in 2022, 147, in 2021, 368 and in 2020, 308 schools had 100 percent students passing.
 
Rajshahi Education Board's Controller of Examinations Iffat Jerin said the current government has emphasized quality over quantity.

For this, there will be some setbacks at the beginning. "We hope that the board's results will be better in the future."

After the publication of results, while some students expressed joy at getting their desired results, many were disappointed at not getting expected results.

Since there is an opportunity for re-scrutiny of results, students who did not get their desired results will be able to apply within the stipulated time.
