MYMENSINGH, July 05, 2026 (BSS)- State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Yasser Khan Choudhury has said a modern and contemporary administrative infrastructure is essential to reach fast, transparent, and high-quality government services to the doorsteps of the people.
He said the government is making constant efforts to strengthen administrative capacity at the upazila level and improve the quality of public services.
Yasser made the remarks while inaugurating the newly constructed extended part of the administrative building and hall room of the Fulbaria Upazila Parishad here today.
Earlier, he exchanged greetings with local leaders and workers. He also planted several saplings on the premises of the administrative building.

Speaking on the occasion, he said there is no alternative to tree planting for maintaining environmental balance and building a greener Bangladesh for future generations.
He mentioned the announcement of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman to plant 25 crore saplings in next five years urging all to take part in the tree plantation programme.
Nilofar Chowdhury Moni, Assistant Secretary for Self-Reliance Affairs of BNP and Member of Parliament, Jamaat MP Kamrul Hasan Milon, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Shahidul Islam Sohag, Fulbaria Upazila BNP Convener Aktarul Alam Faruk; Joint Convener Mamunur Rashid Mamun; Saiful Islam Badal; and other leaders of the Upazila and Municipal BNP were present.
Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) sources said construction of the extended part of the administrative building and hall room began on January 22, 2024 at a cost of Taka 8.07 crore.
The state minister distributed tree saplings among various institutions of Nandail earlier. He also visited the grave of the late Ashraf Ali, a former local BNP leader.
