DHAKA, July 2, 2026 (BSS) – The Traffic Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has filed 2,104 cases for violating traffic rules in different parts of the capital during the last 24 hours till last evening.
According to a media and public relations division of DMP, the traffic divisions conducted campaigns against traffic rule breakers till 6.00 pm on Wednesday.
It said that the DMP traffic police dumped 574 motor vehicles and towed 337 vehicles during the campaign against traffic rule violations on June 29.
During the drives, DMP filed 91 cases under Ramna zone, 160 cases under Lalbagh zone, 284 cases under Motijheel zone and 552 cases under Wari zone, 176 cases under Tejgaon zone, 202 cases under Mirpur zone, 415 cases under Uttara zone and 224 cases under Gulshan zone.
The DMP’s Traffic Division has vowed to continue drives to maintain discipline on Dhaka’s streets.
