DHAKA, June 13, 2026, (BSS) - Five more children have died with measles symptoms across the country in the last 24 hours, while the total number of patients recorded during the period stood at 796, according to a press release issued by the Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) today.
According to the release, the number of suspected measles cases reported in the last 24 hours was 733, while the total number of suspected measles cases recorded from March 15 to June 13 reached 84,899.
During the past 24 hours, 63 confirmed measles cases were reported, bringing the total number of confirmed cases since March 15 to 10,248.
From March 15 to June 13, a total of 68,056 suspected measles patients were admitted to hospitals.
No deaths from confirmed measles were reported in the last 24 hours. Since March 15, a total of 92 deaths have been recorded from confirmed measles.
Five deaths were reported on suspicion of measles during the past 24 hours, while the total number of deaths from suspected measles since March 15 stood at 556.
So far, the highest number of suspected measles cases has been recorded in Dhaka Division, where 39,462 people have been affected. Of them, 7,062 cases have been confirmed as measles.
