Govt releases Hajj 2027 roadmap, asks completion of registration by Sept 26

DHAKA, June 8, 2026 (BSS) – The Ministry of Religious Affairs has released the roadmap for Hajj 2027 (Hijri 1448), asking prospective pilgrims to complete registration by September 26 this year.

According to a release issued by the ministry's Hajj-1 Branch, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced the Hajj 2027 schedule at a ceremony in Jeddah on May 29 and subsequently handed it over to the religious affairs ministers of different countries.

Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain (Kaikobad) attended the programme as an invited guest. On the occasion, Saudi Assistant Minister for Hajj and Umrah Dr Al Hassan bin Yahya Al Manakhrah formally handed over the Hajj roadmap to him.

According to the roadmap, the bilateral Hajj agreement between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia will be signed on November 8, 2026.

The issuance of Hajj visas will begin on January 28, 2027, while Hajj flight operations are scheduled to start on April 8, 2027.

The holy Hajj is expected to be observed on May 15, 2027 (9 Jilhaj), subject to the sighting of the moon.

The release said the transfer of Saudi-side expenses to the e-wallet of the Masar Nusuk platform will continue from July 15 to December 24 this year.

The process of signing agreements for overall service packages, including tents, accommodation in Makkah and Madinah, catering and transportation through the Masar Nusuk platform, will begin on July 29, 2026 and continue until January 23, 2027.

Pilgrims' information will have to be uploaded to the Masar Nusuk system between August 14, 2026 and January 28, 2027.

Meanwhile, agreements with airlines designated to transport Hajj pilgrims and the completion of necessary documentation in the Masar Nusuk system will be carried out between July 29 and November 8 this year.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has urged all concerned to complete the Hajj-related activities in accordance with the announced roadmap.
