PANCHAGARH, May 29, 2026 (BSS) – State Minister for  Water Resources Forhad Hossain Azad today  hosted a luncheon event in honour of families of July 2024 mass uprising martyrs and July fighters.

The event was held at his residence in the Pachpir Menagram area of Boda Upazila in the district today.

Local administrative officers, leaders and activists of BNP and its associate bodies, members of cultural organizations also joined the event.

Azad said the government believes in such a Bangladesh where people of all political views, religions, and backgrounds can live together harmoniously with equal civic rights.

Stating that no form of discrimination would be tolerated in the country, he urged the people to stay alert against those conspiring to distort the history of Bangladesh excluding the spirit of 1971 Great Liberation War.

Castigating Jamaat, he said if Jamaat attempts to mislead the people and create division among citizens, all sections of society must resist them in united efforts.

The event concluded with a cultural ceremony.
