RAJBARI, May 29, 2026 (BSS) - Prime Minister’s Adviser on the ministries of Finance and Planning Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir today said that the upcoming national budget will be youth and business friendly aiming to create employment opportunities through the establishment of new industries and factories.

“Many plots in the BSCIC industrial estate are still lying unused due to delay in allocation as bureaucratic red tape continues to hinder the industrial production,” he said.

The adviser made these remarks at a view-exchange meeting organized by the district administration at Rajbari Municipality Auditorium here as the chief guest.

Speaking on the occasion, he said removing these obstacles and activating the industrial estate would help generate job opportunities for the young people in the country.

Laying emphasis on developing youth physically and mentally through the sports initiatives such as “Notun Kuri Sports,” he said greater efforts are needed in the sports sector including identifying talented athletes from union and upazila levels and promoting culture and human values.

He described hardworking youths as the nation’s future asset and said the government wants to make them self-reliant through low-interest loans.

In this connection, he said restarting closed industries would help reduce the youth unemployment, he said.

Calling for an industrial revolution, he said women’s inequality must be eliminated and more female entrepreneurs should be encouraged and developed here.

State Minister for Cultural Affairs Ali Nawaz Mahmud Khayyam while addressing as special guest said authorities would soon sit with local residents to coordinate the development plans for the district.

Public suggestions would be considered in solving long-standing local problems, he said.

The meeting was attended by public representatives, distinguished citizens and district-level officials with Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Rajbari Afroza Parveen in the chair.

Among others, Member of Parliament from Rajbari-2 constituency Harunur Rashid, local dignitaries Abdus Salam Mia, Mohammad Manjur Morshed, Dr. SM Masud and Enamul Kabir, were present at that time.

Freedom fighters, business leaders, student representatives, journalists and teachers from different schools and colleges also attended the meeting.
