DHAKA, May 27, 2026 (BSS)  - On the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Azha, Fisheries, Livestock and Agriculture Minister Mohammed Amin Ur Rashid has extended heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people of the country as well as Muslims across the world.

In his message, the minister said Eid-ul-Azha teaches the values of sacrifice, compassion, humanity and devotion to Almighty Allah.

He said the spirit of sacrifice demonstrated by Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) inspires people to uphold morality, responsibility and dedication to public welfare in personal, social and state affairs.

The minister said the true significance of Qurbani lies not merely in the slaughtering of animals, but in self-purification, selflessness and standing beside the underprivileged and disadvantaged members of society.

He expressed hope that the joy of Eid would be shared by all and that the occasion would further strengthen harmony, mutual respect and brotherhood.

He urged people to perform Qurbani in a hygienic, environmentally friendly and disciplined manner while maintaining cleanliness and public health considerations.

The minister also encouraged citizens to use livestock raised by local farmers, saying such efforts would contribute to strengthening the country’s agriculture and livestock sectors and supporting  the livelihoods of local farm owners.

He prayed to Almighty Allah for the good health, peace, prosperity and wellbeing of all.
