Public cooperation important for implementing development activities: Boby Hajjaj

DHAKA, May 23, 2026 (BSS)- State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj has said public cooperation is important for implementing development activities.
  
He said this during an exchange of views programme with leaders of the Chand Udyan Housing and Home Owners' Association and local residents in the Mohammadpur area in the city today.
  
Boby Hajjaj said, a government cannot construct roads if residents do not cooperate in vacating road space. Everyone must come forward in the interest of development. 
  
He said the problems faced by every housing society in the Mohammadpur area will be discussed and solutions will be come out systematically. He said, initiatives have been taken to establish a police station in Bosila to curb crimes.
  
The State Minister further said, strict measures will be taken to make the area clean and livable. He warned that action will be taken against those who dump waste on the streets and litter dirty materials outside their homes.
  
He also assured making arrangements for playgrounds for the healthy development of children. He also called for installing two lights on the roadside in front of every house to enhance security and civic amenities, and advised installing CCTV cameras where possible.
  
Regarding local complaints about gas supply, Bobby Hajjaj said that initiatives will be taken to quickly resolve the issues through discussions with the Titas Gas authorities.
 
Local residents, leaders of the home owners' association, and people from various professions were present.
