CHATTOGRAM, May 21, 2026 (BSS)- State Minister for Land and Chattogram Hill Tracts Affairs Barrister Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin has said the proposed Land Complaint Management Service will enhance transparency, accountability, and provide people-friendly land services.

He said this while addressing the closing ceremony of the Land Services Fair 2026 at Chattogram Circuit House here today.

Mir Helal said, people of the country are the true owners of the state, and it is the duty of government officials and employees to treat them with respect, honesty, and sincerity.

Mass people can now access online land services for a small fee through 193 land service support centers nationwide. These centers are also extending digital services to marginalized communities, he said.

He highlighted that most land transactions are now conducted through the e-payment system. Efforts are underway to introduce a digital land zoning system to protect agricultural and forest lands, ensuring their appropriate use.

To combat corruption in the land sector, the state minister emphasized the need to raise public awareness for a broker-free and efficient service environment. By leveraging technology and adopting a people-centric approach, land services will become more modern, transparent, and user-friendly, he added.

Chattogram Divisional Commissioner Dr. Md. Ziauddin was present as main speaker while Chattogram Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Zahidul Islam Miah was in the chair.
