DHAKA, May 18, 2026 (BSS) – The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has sought information from 495 Upazila Health and Family Planning Officers (UHFPOs) regarding the recruitment of Ansar personnel to strengthen security at health complexes across the country.

The information was disclosed in a notice signed by Director (Administration) Prof Dr Jalal Uddin Mohammad Rumi on Sunday.

According to the notice, the directive was issued in line with a memorandum from the DGHS under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare dated May 17, 2026, as well as a separate memorandum from the Finance Division dated May 14, 2026.

The notice requested all concerned UHFPOs to fill in the prescribed information sheet and submit the required data directly to the Director (Administration) of DGHS within three days of receiving the letter.

The move is aimed at enhancing security arrangements at upazila health complexes through the deployment of Ansar members.
