DHAKA, May 5, 2026 (BSS) - Referring to Deputy Commissioners (DCs) as the 
reflection of the government, Chief Justice Zubayer Rahman Chowdhury has 
called on them to discharge their duties with honesty and integrity.
 
He made the call while addressing a courtesy meeting and directive session 
with divisional commissioners and deputy commissioners (DCs) today, a Supreme 
Court release said here today.
 
The meeting was held at the Bangladesh Supreme Court auditorium from 4 pm to 
5 pm today.
 
Describing divisional commissioners and deputy commissioners as an effective 
bridge between the executive branch of the state and the general public, the 
Chief Justice urged them to remain mindful of their accountability to the 
people, society, the state, the Creator, and above all, their own conscience, 
and to perform their duties with honesty, integrity, and dedication.
