DHAKA, April 29, 2026 (BSS) - Belarusian Non-Resident Ambassador to Bangladesh Mikhail Kasko today met with Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir at his office at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban here.

During the meeting, they discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in various fields, including exchange of experience and technology transfer in the agricultural sector.

The Ambassador praised the government's recent initiatives and congratulated them for the unwavering support of the people in the last elections. 

Mirza Fakhrul expressed his interest in utilizing the experience of the agricultural sector of Belarus. 

The Ambassador, referring to Bangladesh as a reliable partner of Belarus, assured of increasing technical assistance and also mentioned the possibility of trade and economic agreements. 

Director General of the Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Inspection Wing Md Mahmudul Hasan was present at the event.
