DHAKA, April 23, 2026 (BSS) – The government today appointed Professor Dr Khan Moinuddin Al Mahmud Sohel as Director General (DG) of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) on current charge as an interim measure. 

According to an official statement, Sohel, a BCS 16th batch officer cadre (general education), will discharge the tasks of the DSHE DG while serving as a DSHE director. 

The statement said the appointment will not be treated as a promotion and will not entitle him to future promotion.

It also said the current charge will be withdrawn after a regular appointment to the post.
