  DHAKA, April 23, 2026 (BSS) – The government today entrusted Professor Dr Khan Moinuddin Al Mahmud Sohel with the current charge of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) as a makeshift arrangement.

   According to an official statement Sohel, a 16th batch officer of BCS (general education) cadre, would discharge the tasks of the director general of the directorate while he is currently appointed as a DSHE director.

   It said that his posting would not be treated as a promotion while this particular appointment would neither entitle him for the future promotion as well.

   The statement said Sohel’s current charge would be rescinded after the regular appointment of an officer as the DSHE chief.
