DHAKA, April 16, 2026 (BSS) - The government has issued a notification assigning additional charge to Professor Dr. Khan Moinuddin Al Mahmud Sohel as Director General of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE).

He is currently serving as Director (Secondary) of DSHE. He will continue to perform his duties in that position alongside his additional charge as Director General until a regular appointment is made to the post.

The information was disclosed in a notification issued today by the Secondary and Higher Education Division of the Ministry of Education.

According to the notification signed by Deputy Secretary Tania Ferdous, Professor Dr. Khan Moinuddin Al Mahmud Sohel (3174), currently serving as Director (Secondary), has been entrusted with the additional charge of Director General along with financial authority in accordance with Rule 66, Volume-1 of the Treasury and Subsidiary Rules.

The order, issued in the public interest, will come into effect immediately.
