Letter of Intent signed between RSTU and UMT

RANGAMATI, April 07, 2026 (BSS) - A Letter of Intent (LoI) has been signed between Rangamati Science and Technology University of (RSTU) and University Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) today at the university here. 

RSTU Vice Chancellor and Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural and Biological Sciences Professor Dr Md Atiyar Rahman and Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries and Aquaculture Sciences of UMT Dr Nazia Binte Musa signed the agreement on behalf of their respective universities.

Department of Fisheries and Marine Resources Technology of RSTU Lecturer Mohammad Ejazul Islam and UMT Senior Lecturer Dr Hassan Ibrahim Sheikh coordinated the signing ceremony on behalf of their respective universities.

Under this agreement, students of the Fisheries and Marine Resources Technology Department of RSTU will get a one-month internship opportunity at UMT, Malaysia from next year. 

Through this agreement, students and teachers of the Faculty of Agricultural and Biological Sciences of RSTU and the Faculty of Agricultural and Biological Sciences of UMT will be able to jointly conduct research, cooperate and publish research articles; organize seminars, academic supervision; exchange students and teachers and cooperate in any other academic activities as mutually agreed.

This agreement will remain in effect for the next two years and can be renewed thereafter with the consent of both parties.
