DHAKA, March 30, 2026 (BSS) – The government has issued a gazette notification forming an executive committee for Hajj management, with Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain Kaikobad as its chairman.

The notification was issued and signed by Additional Secretary of the Cabinet Division Md. Humayun Kabir on Sunday.

According to the gazette, the committee will be headed by the Religious Affairs Minister and will include secretaries of various ministries such as Home, Public Administration and Finance, along with heads of relevant government agencies.

The committee will formulate an action plan for smooth Hajj management, ensure approval of Hajj packages and oversee the implementation of decisions taken by the national committee.

It added that the chairman will preside over all committee meetings. If necessary, any member nominated by the chairman may also chair meetings.

The committee will meet as required and may co-opt members if needed.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs will provide secretarial support to the committee.

The notification further stated that the previous order issued by the Cabinet Division on October 2, 2024 in this regard has been cancelled.
