COX’S BAZAR, March 22, 2026 (BSS) - On the second day of Eid-ul-Fitr, Cox’s Bazar sea beach has transformed into a vibrant mosaic of life and celebration, as waves of tourists pour in from morning till dusk—breathing fresh energy into every stretch of the shoreline and turning the entire coastline into a lively festival of joy.
Even yesterday, on Eid day afternoon, tourists gathered at the beach despite light drizzles. In particular, the rainbow that lingered in the sky for a long time over the beach, the breathtaking sunset after the clouds cleared, and the cool breeze greatly enhanced the festive joy of Eid for visitors.
Tourism-related business owners said that the sea shore had remained almost silent throughout the month of Ramadan.
However, as soon as the Eid holidays began, Cox’s Bazar sea beach regained its vibrancy. With the combination of natural beauty and Eid festivities, the beach is now bustling with tourists. The number of visitors continues to grow with time.
Before Eid, tourism stakeholders had estimated that around 1 to 1.1 million tourists might visit Cox’s Bazar during this Eid season, generating business worth around a Taka 100 crore.
A visit to the beach showed that tourists from different parts of the country were enjoying themselves at all points including Kolatoli, Sugandha, and Laboni beaches.
Families and friends were bathing in the sea, riding jetskis, and enjoying bike and horse rides along the shore. The sandy beach, blue waters, and breeze together made the moments even more joyful for the visitors.

Alongside uniformed police personnel, surveillance teams in plain clothes and intelligence teams are active in the field, he said adding that all teams are working in shifts round the clock.
Beach worker supervisor Md. Belal Hossain said they are working to ensure tourist safety. Risky areas of the beach have been identified and visitors are being warned. “Our goal is to ensure tourists can safely enjoy sea bathing and recreation without any trouble,” he said.
Team leader of Cox’s Bazar Sea Safe Lifeguard organization, Imtiaz Ahmed, said a large number of tourists are expected during the Eid holidays. Red flags are being used in risky areas to warn visitors, and efforts are being made to ensure safe swimming.
