TANGAIL, Mar 21, 2026 (BSS): Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, and Science and Technology, Fakir Mahbub Anam has called upon the political leaders and activists to remain united and demonstrate their responsible behavior to uphold public trust.

“Any misunderstandings or confusion should be resolved through internal discussions,” he made these remarks at a doa and remembrance meeting at local BNP office here yesterday as the chief guest.  

BNP municipal unit of Dhanbari upazila of Tangail organized the event for the eternal peace of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.

He also urged everyone to refrain from making decisions based on rumors or being influenced by others. The minister emphasized on maintaining discipline, honesty, and responsible behavior to maintain public confidence.

The minister further said that the promises made to the people during elections would be implemented gradually and on a priority basis. He stressed the need for ensuring good governance and accountability to meet public expectations.

Addressing the party leaders and activists, he said, “Everyone must work together for the development of the area and the welfare of the people. Through mutual cooperation and coordination, the pace of development can be further accelerated.”

He expressed his hope that collective efforts would fulfill public expectations and accelerate development in Dhanbari and surrounding areas.

At the end of the event, the minister extended Eid greetings to the people and wished everyone good health, peace and prosperity.

Local people’s representatives, political leaders and distinguished individuals from various professions were present at the program. General people of the area also spontaneously exchanged greetings with the minister and shared in the joy of Eid.
