LAKSHMIPUR, Mar 21, 2026 (BSS)- Water Resources Minister and BNP Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Anee today called for collective efforts to build a beautiful and developed Bangladesh.

He said this after offering Eid-ul-Fitr prayers at Sonamia Eidgah ground in Lakshmipur town today.

Extending greetings and Eid-ul-Fitr wishes to the devotees he said that one month has passed since the formation of the government and its activities are already visible and this momentum will continue.

The minister said that since assuming office, the government has received cooperation and sincerity from the people and this trend must be maintained. He also said that the government is working with full commitment and dedication.

Anee further stated that the goal of this government is to build a new and better Bangladesh by working together with the people. He also expressed his hope that through unity, cooperation and sincerity, a prosperous nation can be built.
After the prayers, he exchanged greetings with worshippers. 

Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Lakshmipur SM Mehdi Hasan, Bangladesh Football Federation Vice President Wahid Uddin Chowdhury Happy, Sadar Upazila BNP President Main Uddin Chowdhury Riaz and District Jubo Dal General Secretary Rashidul Hasan Lincoln, were present.

Eid-ul-Fitr prayers were also held in different mosques across the district in a festive atmosphere. However, due to rain, most worshippers offered prayers inside the mosques.
