DHAKA, March 16, 2026 (BSS)- The Eid-ul-Fitr congregation at the Central Jame
Mosque premises of Bangladesh Medical University (BMU) will be held at 8am
this year.
Head Imam of the BMU Central Jame Mosque Hafez Maulana Abdul Ahad confirmed
the information today.
Devout Muslims have been requested to participate in the Holy Eid
congregation and offer prayers.
Meanwhile, on Eid day, arrangements have been made to serve better quality
meals for patients.
An Eid reunion programme will be held on March 24 from 8.30am to 10.30am. On
the same day and the university offices will remain open following the usual
schedule.
For the convenience of patients during the Eid holidays, the outdoor
department of Bangladesh Medical University will remain open on Thursday
(March 19) and Sunday (March 22).
On these two days, patients will be able to receive consultation services
from doctors at the outpatient department between 10am and 1pm, according to
a BMU notice here today.
Mentionable, the outdoor department will remain closed from March 17 to March
23.
During the closure, the hospital's indoor and emergency services will remain
open as usual.
However, classes, offices, afternoon specialized consultation services,
consultation services of the super specialized hospital and the PCR lab will
remain closed.
After the Eid holidays, all activities will resume as usual on March 24.
