DHAKA, March 9, 2026 (BSS) - A delegation of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) today paid a courtesy call on State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj at the Secretariat here.
The meeting was held at the state minister's office at the Secretariat this noon, said a press release.
At the beginning of the meeting, Director of Human and Social Development Sector of ADB Gi Soon Song congratulated Bobby Hajjaj on his victory in the 13th Jatiya Sangsad Election.
He also expressed hope that the two sides would build more positive and constructive relations in the coming days.
During the meeting, the state minister expressed sincere gratitude for ADB's past and ongoing cooperation in Bangladesh's education sector.
The state minister sought stronger and comprehensive support from ADB for integrating modern technology into primary education and establishing smart classrooms in every school across the country.
The meeting also discussed various issues of public importance, including the country's overall development situation, challenges in implementing education-related projects, human resource development and expansion of technical education.
The ADB delegation highly appreciated the current government's initiatives to reform primary education in Bangladesh and assured continued support in implementing these projects.
ADB Senior Education Officer Md. Yasin Arafat and Project Officer (Education) Faiza Ahad were also present at the meeting.
