One prosecutor relieved from ICT, two new appointed

DHAKA, Mar 09, 2026 (BSS)- One prosecutor of the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) has been relieved from duty and two new prosecutors have been appointed today.

The information was disclosed in separate letters signed by Sana Md. Maruf Hussain, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.

According to a letter, the resignation of Md. Saimum Reza Talukder, prosecutor at the Office of the Chief Prosecutor of the tribunal, has been accepted and he has been relieved of his duties.

According to another letter Advocate Marzina Raihan and Advocate Mohammad Zahirul Amin have been appointed as prosecutors with the status of Deputy Attorney General to conduct cases at the tribunal until further order.
