RAJSHAHI, March 4, 2026 (BSS) - Two new buses have been added to the transport fleet of Rajshahi University (RU).

The inauguration ceremony was held at 10:00 am on Wednesday at the university's administrative building premises, where Vice-Chancellor Professor Saleh Hasan Naqib formally launched the buses.
 
With the addition of these two 42-seater buses, purchased from the university's current fiscal year budget, the total number of buses in RU's fleet has increased to 46.
 
Among others present at the inauguration were Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Professor Mohammad Main Uddin, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Professor Md. Farid Uddin Khan and Treasurer Professor Md. Matiar Rahman.

Following the inauguration, the Vice-Chancellor mentioned that the process is underway to procure two modern ambulances equipped with advanced facilities to enhance the university's emergency medical services.
