DHAKA, March 2, 2026 (BSS) - State Minister for Youth and Sports Md Aminul
Haque has vowed to prevent any kind of irregularities, including extortion
and terrorism, in his electoral constituency.
"A 'zero tolerance' policy to maintain against extortion and terrorism...
Besides, a special hotline number has already been launched to ease the
suffering of the people and facilitate direct complaints," he told a
gathering at his electoral constituency here today.
The state minister for youth and sports said if anyone is found involved in
extortion or any kind of terrorist activities in Pallabi and Rupnagar areas,
he will not be spared.
"Whoever the culprit is, a legal action will be taken against him . . . From
now on, if the citizens of that area are victims of extortion or
irregularities, they can directly call 01552-161616 to report their
complaints," he added.
Issuing a note of warning against the troublemakers, State Minister Aminul
categorically said, "My main goal is to keep my constituency free from
terrorism and extortion. Any disruption of the safety of the lives and
property of the common people won't be accepted."
He added that through this hotline, he would directly monitor the problems of
the people.
Meanwhile, welcoming it a timely initiative of the State Minister, the locals
expect that criminal activities in the area will be reduced to a large extent
in this connection.
