NARSINGDI, Mar 1, 2026 (BSS) - BNP Standing Committee member Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan today said the party won all five seats in Narsingdi in the national election under the leadership of Deshnetri Begum Khaleda Zia. 

This time, under the leadership of BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman, the BNP has again achieved victory in all five seats of Narsingdi, he said. 

He made the remarks while speaking as the chief guest at an Iftar and prayer gathering organized by the Palash Upazila unit of Narsingdi this afternoon.

Leaders and activists from the district and upazila BNP, including the five Members of Parliament from the district, participated in the event held at the Palash Thana Sadar High School ground.

Addressing the new generation, he said, “Just as we won five seats in 1991 under the leadership of Begum Zia, today we have won five seats under the leadership of Tarique Rahman. If everyone remains united, it is possible to take the country forward further.”

Expressing his thanks and gratitude to Tarique Rahman, he said that under his leadership, the party has been reorganized and democracy has been re-established in the country.

Present at the event were Khairul Kabir Khokon, MP for Narsingdi-1 (Sadar) and Joint Secretary General of the central BNP; Sardar Shakhawat Hossain Bakul, MP for Narsingdi-4 (Monohardi-Belabo) and Minister for Health and Family Welfare; Manzur Elahi, MP for Narsingdi-3 (Shibpur) and General Secretary of the district BNP; and Engineer Ashraf Uddin Bakul, MP for Narsingdi-5 (Raipura), along with leaders and activists of the BNP and its associate bodies.
