DHAKA, Feb 27, 2026 (BSS) – Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Md Asaduzzaman today said he wants to move forward along the path of the judiciary envisioned by all.

“I want to move forward along the path of the judiciary that you dream of, the judiciary of Bangladesh that you envision,” he said while addressing an Iftar Mahfil organised by the Bangladesh Judicial Service Association (BJSA).

Drawing attention to the Judicial Service Association, the law minister stressed that the work of judges is highly sensitive.

“You are part of the state. Your area of responsibility is much greater. Our expectations from you are as high as a mountain,” he said, emphasizing the vital role of judges in upholding the dignity of the judiciary.

Recalling his first meeting with the Prime Minister after assuming office as law minister, Asaduzzaman said the Prime Minister had stressed that the judiciary should be provided an environment where it can work independently at its own pace.

“I am committed to that, and I hope you will also move forward along that path,” he added.

“We want to move forward through transparency, and along this path of transparency that leads us toward our envisioned goals, I express the expectation that you will be companions of that vision,” he concluded.

Presided over by BJSA President Mohammad Ali Hossain, the function was also addressed by Law and Justice Division Secretary Liaquet Ali Molla, Supreme Court Secretariat Senior Secretary Sk Ashfaqur Rahman, and Supreme Court Registrar General Mohammad Habibur Rahman Siddiquee.

After the iftar, the BJSA executive committee held a meeting with the law minister and drew his attention towards some of their demands.
