10 sub-centres cancelled for SSC exams in Khulna

KHULNA, Feb 26, 2026 (BSS) - The authorities have cancelled 10 sub-centres in Khulna city for the upcoming Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations due to a low number of candidates, allegations of irregularities and risk for unfair means.

The decision was announced in a notification issued by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education of Jashore on January 19, according to a press release on Thursday. 

The SSC examinations are scheduled to begin on April 21. Examinations will now be held at the designated main centres instead of the cancelled sub-centres.

The cancelled sub-centres in Khulna city are: Rupsha Bohumukhi High School, Bongobashi Secondary School, Rotary School, Pollimangal Secondary School, Khalishpur Secondary School, Afil Uddin Secondary School, RRF Secondary School, BK Union Institution, Khanabari Secondary School and Islamabad Collegiate School.

Under the Jashore Board, other cancelled centres include Jhenaidah Cadet College, Subhashini Secondary School, Siddhipasha Secondary School, Panchbaria Panchkathia Secondary School, Jugirgofa Secondary School, Sahebnagar Secondary School, Rostom Ali Secondary School, Chaprail Secondary School and Hasadah Secondary School.

The board authorities said examinees of the cancelled centres will be shifted to nearby alternative centres, said the press release.

Khulna District Secondary Education Officer S M Saidur Rahman told BSS that examinations will be conducted at main centres such as Khulna Zila School, Coronation Secondary School and Laboratory High School.
