DHAKA, February 24, 2026 (BSS) - Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu today called upon officials to take an oath to build a prosperous nation by avoiding all forms of irregularities, corruption and criminal activities and by adhering to the path of truth, integrity and righteousness.

He said the people are the rightful owners of the country and emphasized that talent and hard work must be invested to implement the election manifesto of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) with professionalism in order to build a better Bangladesh for the future, said an official handout.

The minister made these remarks while speaking as the chief guest at an introductory meeting with officials of the Disaster Management and Relief Ministry and its subordinate departments at the ministry's conference room at Secretariat here.

He said close monitoring must be ensured at every stage to prevent the misuse of government funds and to maintain the quality of work. 

The usefulness and relevance of projects must also be carefully assessed during the selection process, he said.
