LALMONIRHAT, Feb 24, 2026 (BSS) - A total of 96 students and teachers were honoured in the district during the observance of National Education Week 2026, recognising excellence in 19 different categories at the district level.
The awards and certificates were distributed at a discussion meeting and ceremony held on Monday at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner. The event was jointly organised by the District Administration and the District Education Office.
District Education Officer Rukhsana Parvin Mita presided over the programme, while Additional Deputy Commissioner (ICT) Md. Rakibul Hasan attended as the chief guest.
Among others, Mofazzal Hossain, Principal of Daikhawa Adarsh College, Ekramul Haque Sarkar, Headmaster of Teesta Khalilur Rahman Khadem High School, and Sarmin Ara Haque Bithi, District Girl Guides Commissioner and Senior Teacher of Lalmonirhat Government Girls High School, addressed the gathering.
Following the discussion session, crests and certificates were handed over to winners of various competitions and categories.
Speakers at the event said that such initiatives play a vital role in nurturing students' creativity and motivating them to participate actively in both curricular and co-curricular activities.
