DHAKA, Feb 22, 2026 (BSS) – Primary and Mass Education Minister A N M Ehsanul Hoque Milon today called for breaking away from outdated and conventional thinking to build a modern and time-befitting primary education system in the country.

He said the national education system will be made more effective and relevant by adopting creative and modern approaches in line with the demands of the time.

The minister made the remarks as the chief guest at an introductory meeting with officials of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, held this afternoon at the ministry’s conference room at the Secretariat here.

State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj was present at the meeting.

Highlighting the importance of transparency and good governance, Milon said the government is working with a commitment to fulfilling the expectations of the people.

He stressed that ensuring a corruption-free secretariat alone is not sufficient; transparency and accountability must be guaranteed in every department and agency under the ministry.

The minister said bringing about visible and sustainable changes in the primary education sector through good governance is a key objective of the current government.

Speaking on the occasion, Bobby Hajjaj described primary education as the foundation of overall educational development.
