PIROJPUR, Feb 20, 2026 (BSS) - State Minister for Housing and Public Works Ahammad Sohel Monzoor arrived in his home district Pirojpur today on his first official visit after assuming office.

During the two-day visit on February 20 and 21, the state minister is scheduled to participate in various government programmes.

He reached the Pirojpur Circuit House at around 10:30 am, where Deputy Commissioner Abu Sayeed and Superintendent of Police Mohammad Monjur Ahmed Siddiqui received him. The state minister was given a guard of honour.

At the Circuit House premises, Ahammad Sohel Monzoor exchanged greetings with local leaders and activists of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party and its associate bodies.

He later left for his constituency in Nesarabad. As part of his visit, the state minister is scheduled to place wreaths at the Pirojpur Central Shaheed Minar at 12:01 am marking International Mother Language Day.

On the second day of his tour, he will attend several government functions as the chief guest.
