DHAKA, Feb 18, 2026 (BSS) — State Minister for Commerce, Industries and Textiles and Jute Md. Shariful Alam today pledged to prioritize national expectations and deliver tangible administrative results.

Briefing the reporters after assuming charge at the Ministry of Commerce, he signalled a transition from the orientation phase to active implementation, underscoring a commitment to addressing public and investor concerns through decisive action.

In an address regarding the administration’s trajectory on this opening day, the State Minister offered a firm pledge to the citizens of Bangladesh.

Emphasizing the government’s dedication to fulfilling the hopes of the people, he stated that maximum effort would be applied to ensure the nation’s expectations.

Emphasizing a collaborative approach, he sought the cooperation of all stakeholders to achieve national goals through dedicated service.

The State Minister explicitly acknowledged long-standing grievances raised by the investor community, noting that the government is fully aware of the practical failures hindering the business environment.

Specifically, he addressed the blunt reality that investors often feel the promised "One-Stop Service" (OSS) is non-functional in practice.

The State Minister vowed that the administration has officially commenced work to rectify these institutional bottlenecks, ensuring that the investment climate becomes more efficient and supportive of the nation's economic growth.

The State Minister concluded his speech with an appeal for broad cooperation from all stakeholders and the media to ensure the successful implementation of the government’s agenda.

Reaffirming that the Ministry has officially initiated its work on all identified issues from this first day, he expressed confidence that tangible improvements would soon follow.
