RANGPUR, Feb 10, 2026 (BSS) - A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been
signed between the Department of Public Administration of Begum Rokeya
University, Rangpur (BRUR) and Bangladesh Public Administration Training
Center (BPATC).
The five-year term agreement was signed at the Rectors' Conference Room of
BPATC in Savar of Dhaka district on Tuesday, said a BRUR press release
here this afternoon.
Head of the Department of Public Administration of BRUR Muhammad Mujahidul
Islam and Member of the Board of Directors of BPATC Joint Secretary Dr Md
Mohsin Ali signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutions.
The signing ceremony was attended by the Vice-chancellor (VC) of the
university Professor Dr Md Showkat Ali and the Rector of BPATC Sayeed Mahbub
Khan.
Under this MOU, joint research activities, developmental training
arrangements, faculty exchange and expert level knowledge exchange activities
will be conducted between both institutions.
In addition, final year honors and masters students of the Department of
Public Administration of the university will get the opportunity to do field
attachment at BPATC once a year.
Through this, students will directly gain hands-on experience in training
activities and administrative management.
Speaking at the event, the VC said that there is no alternative to skilled
and professional manpower in building a self-reliant Bangladesh.
"Through this MoU, students of Public Administration Department will get the
opportunity to come into direct contact with the country's top training
institutions," he said.
Along with theoretical knowledge, professional administrative activities,
training methods and field level experience will play a leading role in
making students successful in their careers.
"This bridge between industry and academia will be a milestone in improving
the quality of higher education," he added.
Associate Prof of the Department of Public Administration Md Zubair Ibne
Taher, Lecturers Afzal Hossain Shakil and AMM Mubashir Shah and other
concerned persons were present at the MoU signing ceremony.
