DHAKA, Jan 19, 2026 (BSS) - Canadian High Commissioner in Dhaka Ajit Singh today paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairman Tarique Rahman.

The Canadian envoy met the BNP chairman at his Gulshan political office at about 11.30am, BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan told BSS.

During the meeting, they exchanged greetings with each other and discussed how to develop bilateral relations and expand cooperation.

BNP Joint Secretary General and Chairman's Foreign Affairs Advisory Committee member Humayun Kabir and BNP Chairman's Advisory Council member Dr Mahadi Amin were present.
