DHAKA, Dec 30, 2025 (BSS) - Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser (CA) for the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, today expressed deep sorrow and grief at the death of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.
In a condolence message, Fayez Ahmad Taiyeb said, "Begum Khaleda Zia played an important role in the development of institutional and women's education, women's empowerment and the growth of the SME sector in Bangladesh. She was a significant and influential figure in the country's political history. Her role in the movement to restore democracy in the 1990s, in parliamentary politics and in various phases of state governance will remain especially memorable. Her death has created a great void in the country's political arena."
The Special Assistant further said, "Throughout her long political life, she provided leadership through many challenges and crises. Her position and influence in Bangladesh's multi-party politics are undeniable."
Fayez Ahmad Taiyeb prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and expressed deep sympathy to her bereaved family members, BNP leaders and activists and countless followers.
