DHAKA, Dec 29, 2025 (BSS0 - A three-day "Digital Device and Innovation Expo 2026" has begun from January 29-31, 2026 at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center (BCFCC) in the city's Sher-e-Bangla Nagar.
With the aim of attracting technological innovation, capabilities, success and investment in the technology sector, the three-day IT exhibition has been jointly organised by the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Department, Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority and Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) under the theme "Bangladesh to the World".
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division Secretary Shish Haider Chowdhury disclosed this at a press conference at the Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) auditorium in Agargaon here today.
The Expo is a major platform for displaying state-of-the-art technologies and innovative ideas from various industries and universities, said a release.
It typically features exhibitions of ICT products and services, innovative student projects, seminars, and conferences covering topics such as ICT fundamentals, communication systems, digital devices, and programming.
The Expo attracts a wide range of attendees, including government officials, industry leaders, academics, and startups.
The ICT secretary said like the developed world, the people of our country are also interested in using digital devices at present.
"This is positive for moving forward in technology . . . Digital transformation or transformation of any country is an ongoing process," he
added.
Faiz Ahmed Tayyab, special assistant to the Chief Adviser in charge of the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, is taking forward the work of digital transformation through various activities, the release mentioned.
BCS Secretary General Muhammad Monirul Islam presented the exhibitions' details at the press conference.
More than a hundred domestic and international IT institutions, organisations, various ministries, divisions and directorates, local digital product manufacturers and service providers, local innovative exhibitors, internationally renowned brands, computer gaming development institutions, service providers in the hardware sector, OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) and software service providers will participate in it, the release added.
