DHAKA, Dec 27, 2025 (BSS) – The Junior Scholarship Examination for Class Eight students will begin tomorrow and will continue until December 31.
According to the examination schedule, the tests will be held daily from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. This year, examinations will be conducted in five subjects carrying a total of 400 marks.
As per the routine, the Bangla examination will be held on the first day. This will be followed by English on December 29, Mathematics on December 30, and Science and Bangladesh and Global Studies on December 31.
The Bangla, English and Mathematics examinations will each carry 100 marks and be held for three hours. The Science and Bangladesh and Global Studies examinations will be held on the same day, carrying 50 marks each, with a duration of one hour and thirty minutes for each subject.
Special instructions for the Junior Scholarship Examination state that candidates must take their seats at least 30 minutes before the examination begins.
In case of late arrival due to unavoidable reasons, candidates may be allowed to enter after recording the reason in the register.
Examinees will not be allowed to bring mobile phones or any other electronic devices into the examination centres.
Candidates are required to correctly fill in their roll numbers, registration numbers, subject codes and other relevant information on the OMR answer sheets using a ballpoint pen. Under no circumstances should the answer sheets be folded.
Examinees will be allowed to use eight models of calculators approved by the education board. In addition, the use of general (non-scientific) calculators will also be permitted.
