24th Young Artists’ Fine Art Exhibition extended by two days

DHAKA, Dec 22, 2025 (BSS) – The Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy has extended the duration of the ‘24th Young Artists’ Fine Art Exhibition’ by two days.

The closing ceremony of the exhibition will be held on December 24 at 5:00 pm at the National Art Gallery Plaza, said a press release.

The exhibition was inaugurated on December 11 and has been open daily from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm at Galleries 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7 of the National Art Gallery.

This year, through an open call, 1,393 artworks were submitted by 681 emerging artists aged between 21 and 35 years. From these submissions, a selection committee chose 215 artworks by 191 artists for display.

The exhibition features works across almost all fine art mediums, including painting, sculpture, oriental art, crafts, ceramics, photography, installation art, performance art and new media art.

Shilpakala Academy Director General Sheikh Rezauddin Ahmed (Rezauddin Stalin) will preside over the concluding ceremony and unveil the exhibition catalogue. 

Jagannath University Assistant Professor artist Mohammad Zahidul Haque will present a review discussion on the exhibition while Associate Professor of Dhaka University’s Fine Arts faculty artist Reza Asad Al Huda Anupam, and artist Md Bazlur Rashid Shawon will address as special guest.

Director of the Fine Arts Department Abdul Halim Chanchal will deliver the welcome address.
