DHAKA, Dec 11, 2025 (BSS) - Health officials today said they recorded 411 fresh cases of dengue onslaughts and death of three persons in the past 24 hours.
“We recorded deaths of three dengue patients in 24 hours ending at 8 am today,” a spokesman of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said, adding his office simultaneously recorded 411 fresh cases of dengue onslaughts during the same period.
According to the DGHS statistics, three died in area with purview of Dhaka South City Corporation.
“Out of the 411 fresh cases, 50 were hospitalised in Barishal division, 61 in Chattogram division, 56 in Dhaka division excluding capital, 70 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and 99 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) areas, 26 in Khulna division, 20 in Mymensingh division, 21 in Rajshahi division, two in Rangpur division and six in Sylhet division, a Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) statement said.
Since the start of the dengue onslaughts, Bangladesh this year witnessed so far 404 deaths while the disease inflicted 99,493.
The dengue last year claimed 575 lives and inflicted 101,214 people in the country.
