Two-day 'Bangladesh-US Bilateral Defence Dialogue' ends today

DHAKA, Dec 11, 2025 (BSS) – The two-day long 12th 'Bangladesh-US Bilateral 
Defense Dialogue' concluded at the Bangladesh Armed Forces Division (AFD) here today.

Starting from December 10, the bilateral defence dialogue ended today, where   the military delegations from Bangladesh and the United States of America (USA) took part, said a release of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate this evening.

In continuation of this dialogue since 2012, the Bilateral Defence Dialogue is being held. Military delegations from Bangladesh and the United States attended the two-day dialogue.

The defence dialogue is very important for the mutual military cooperation of the two countries. Besides, various issues of military cooperation between the two countries are discussed in this dialogue, it said.

This bilateral talk would enhance two-sided military cooperation in the fields of global and regional security, technology, defense equipment, disaster management, peacekeeping operations, training, inspections, joint exercises and drills and workshops.

From the Bangladesh side, Brigadier General Muhammad Ali Haider Siddiqui, 
Director General of AFD [Operations and Planning Directorate], was present at 
the dialogue while Brigadier General Sarah Roos led the US delegation.

On behalf of Bangladesh, senior officials from various organisations including the AFD, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) and others were present there.

The bilateral defense dialogue will further enhance military cooperation between the two countries and strengthen mutual friendship as well, the ISPR added.
