JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, Dec 4, 2025 (BSS) - The 'JUDS National Debate Championship-2025', organised by the Jahangirnagar University Debating Society (JUDS), is set to begin tomorrow on the university campus.

The competition, to be held in the Asian Parliamentary format, will commence on Friday (December 5) morning, said convener of the championship Ridhwan Rabbi Ahmed while addressing a press conference held at the university's Teacher-Student Centre this evening.

He said that a total of 64 institutions from school, college and university categories will participate in this year's championship - 32 teams from schools and colleges and 32 teams from universities. The grand finale of the tournament will be held on December 13. 

"Our aim is not only to select the best teams but also to foster a logical and humane young generation," he added.

Several organisations, including ACI Group, Pubali Bank PLC and Aurora Specialized Hospital, are supporting the event as sponsors. Jahangirnagar University Debating Society was established in 1997.
