SYLHET, Nov 28, 2025 (BSS) - Attorney General of Bangladesh Md Asaduzzaman emphasized the need for collective efforts to end the culture of delayed justice, saying that justice is undermined when justice is delayed.
He made the remarks while addressing the Sylhet District Bar Association's annual dinner as the chief guest on Thursday night.
The event was presided over by President of the Sylhet District Bar Association Advocate Sarwar Ahmad Chowdhury (Abdal) and jointly conducted by Joint Secretaries Advocate Md Ohidur Rahman Chowdhury and Advocate Md Rob Newaz Rana.
The welcome speech was delivered by the association's General Secretary Advocate Md Zobayer Bokht Zuber.
Senior District and Sessions Judge of Sylhet Mohammad Halim Ullah Chowdhury, Sylhet Metropolitan Sessions Judge Munsi Abdul Majid, and former president of the Sylhet District Bar Association and former public prosecutor Advocate ATM Faez Uddin, spoke at the event as special guest.
Sylhet's Public Prosecutor Advocate Shamim Ahmed Siddiqui, executive committee member Advocate Md Ashik Uddin (Ashuk) and Metropolitan Public Prosecutor Advocate Badrul Ahmad Chowdhury also addressed the event.
A cultural programme was held at the end of the programme.
