DHAKA, Nov 27, 2025 (BSS) – Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain today said that initiative would be taken to construct a bridge at Company Ghat in Kamrangirchar under the management of the City Corporation and Zila Parishad to improve local transport facilities.

He made the remark while speaking as the chief guest at the “National Education Seminar and Award Ceremony” marking the 6th anniversary of Markazut Taqwa Madrasa in Kamrangirchar in the capital.

Mentioning that roads in Kamrangirchar are narrow and there is a lack of playgrounds, Asif Mahmud said that initiatives will be taken to widen the roads and construct a playground in ward - 55 for sports and recreational activities.

The programme was presided over by Maulana Habibullah Miazi, Director General of Jamia Nuria Islamia Madrasa.

Later, the Adviser visited Jamia Nuria Islamia Madrasa in Kamrangirchar and paid tribute at the grave of Maulana Muhammad Ullah Hafizji, a renowned Islamic scholar of the subcontinent.
