DHAKA, Nov 26, 2025 (BSS) – Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Land ASM Saleh Ahmed today said training is a key component of skill development as it enhances the quality of work.
“Training is the main way to achieve efficiency . . . The nature of work is changing rapidly due to technological advancements, and innovations are constantly emerging in all fields,” he said while inaugurating a training programme for administrative officials and employees at the conference room of his office.
Noting that the fundamental responsibility of officers and employees is to carry out their duties in accordance with the Secretariat Instructions 2024, he said rules and regulations are not meant only for documentation — good governance, transparency and efficiency can be ensured only when these rules are accurately reflected in relevant activities.
The senior secretary called upon all concerned to work with ethics and patriotism.
“In the workplace, we unite at different times to realise our demands, but we must also unite to improve our services,” he added.
The land secretary said positive changes occur at all levels — from administration to service providers — when an individual considers their responsibility not merely as a job but as a sacred commitment to the state.
“Professionalism is not just about working according to rules; rather, it is a mindset that shapes the behaviour, attitude, decision-making and performance of employees,” he added.
Additional Secretary (Administration) Md Raihan Kawsar, Deputy Secretary (Training and Discipline) Nasrin Sultana and Deputy Secretary (Administration) Masud Kamal were present at the event.
