DHAKA, Nov 25, 2025 (BSS) – The government today promoted seven non-cadre senior assistant secretaries to the rank of deputy secretary (DS and appointed all of them as officers on special duty (OSD) at the public administration ministry.

“The promoted officers (DSs) can submit their joining letters directly or online (email:[email protected]) to the senior secretary of the public administration ministry,” said a notification of the ministry.

The promoted officers are: M Abdul Khaleque, senior assistant secretary of health education and family welfare division; Md Nazrul Islam, senior assistant secretary of IMED division of planning ministry; Shirin Sultana, senior assistant secretary of social welfare ministry; SM Moniruzzaman, assistant administrator (senior assistant secretary) of office of the administrator of Waqf Bangladesh; Md Forhad Mia, senior assistant secretary of railways ministry; SM Mahbubul Haque, senior assistant secretary of expatriates welfare and overseas employment ministry; and M Golam Mostafa, senior assistant secretary of youth and sports ministry.
