DHAKA, Nov 23, 2024 (BSS) - The government has extended the tenure of Justice Md Emdadul Haque as the Director General (DG) of the Judicial Administration Training Institute (JATI) for one more year.

The extension came into effect from November 20, 2025.The decision allows him to continue overseeing the institute's judicial training and capacity-building programmes.

The government on November 19, 2024, appointed the retired judge of the High Court Division as the director general of JATI. 

A Law and Justice Division gazette notification at that time had said he will enjoy salary, allowance, and other benefits equivalent to those of a High Court Division judge.
